About the Display
Exhibiting the very best from Japan, the Nakata Art Display at The Service illustrates world-class artisanry by way of a number special edition hangers. In particular, some hangers feature the famous Urushi lacquer, which involves an articulated process employing the sap harvested from the Urushi tree.
Importantly, the display is also our homage to the British sartorial world, for the canonical Savile Row sign is pain-stakingly hand painted on a special edition NH-2 hanger by master Wajima artist, Okagi-san.
We thank The Service for sharing their space for the Nakata Art Display installation.
