Our Visit to Trickers with Stridewise

Arterton recently had the pleasure of partnering with digital creator Stridewise in filming and producing a video at the historical Trickers Store. Neil, a proud member of the Trickers team, assisted us with a guided tour of the iconic Jermyn Street location, sharing his knowledge and passion for the brand.

Nick English, founder of Stridewise, resides in the states. His expertise and content creation is catered towards genuine and independent reviews of casual boots, apparel and accessories. Through our collaboration we were able to share our passion for British boot making and sartorial culture within the area of its origin.

Trickers are a core element to our English Shoemaking history as holding the title of the eldest established shoemaker in Britain; Operating since 1829 and still in the hands of their founding family. In 1989 Trickers were first granted the Royal Warrant to the Prince of Wales. Later, in 2024, Trickers were among the first of companies to be granted the Royal Warrant to King Charles III.

Through filming, Neil described Trickers shoe making process from production to retail, providing intricate details to their fine craftsmanship and house styles. As shoe enthusiasts ourselves, learning about Trickers influence on the foundation of classic British designs was an informative experience we hope you can also enjoy. Further, Nick's comparison of Heritage styles, such as the American worker boot to our familiar British Chelsea, introduces the debate of which is superior?

See for yourself why Trickers hold such significance in British shoemaking here.
