Yearn’s Artisanal Line is characterised by having 12 SPI outsole stitching, a more refined heel, and the option for fiddleback waist. Where appropriate (i.e. depending on the shoe style), the line utilises premium leathers such as those from Zonta or some specialist museum calf tanneries.

  • Did someone say Wholecut?

One of Yearn's popular styles, the uppers of the leather are composed of a single piece with a centre back seam, which is a testament to the construction quality of the shoes.

  • Hand-welted Construction

In contrast to Goodyear or cement welting, hand-welting is a labour intensive process that results in a lighter and more comfortable shoe. The uppers are held on the last for an average of three full days.

  • Bark-tanned Soles

As a standard feature, all Yearn shoes have a single-piece Italian leather sole that have been bark-tanned. Every outsole is also hand-stitched, which extends the life of the shoe by increasing the number of possible resoles.
